I could no longer resist!!! Been seeing these cute artsy cards on many blogs for weeks now... was having doubts whether to participate or not. But what the heck!! How long does it take to create a little card like this. Plus it will be a good way to use up all this stuff I have been saving for... well, what ever LOL! Had some catching up to do, but here are my cards for this month. Would like to know more about them??? Please visit the blog of Emily Falconbridge! Thanks for visiting

Dutch Dare # 6
Yes... it's already been two weeks since the last dare!!! Dutch Dare number 6 is online now!!! Please participate and take a look at all these great dares at the Dutch Dares blog! This one was a real challenge to me as I already made a lo for the DD about cheese with the tittle "say Cheese".
I would like to thank you for supporting me in not smoking, thank you for the nice comments on my blog and in my e-mail, it really helps me to stay strong, and it is nice to read I am not the only one who ever tried this ;-))It has been two and a half week now since I stopped smoking, therefor I bought myself a nice present at Memory Lane Scrapbooking since I am a guestdesigner for this online shop for the months januari and februari I made a layout with some nice goodies, I give you a sneakpeek now, as soon as it is posted on the MLS site I will show you the lo.
Last but not least... the contest at Scrappies ended and I finished third... not bad considering my competition. This is the lo I made for the final round.
Got to go now, should not even be here... have an infection in my shoulder since yesterday, did not ask the docter but somehow have the feeling I should not be sitting behind my pc (bad bad girl ;-)) Thanks for visiting!Saturday, 20 January 2007
Time...
Guess that is my word for 2007. Not only the lack of to do all the things I would like to do, but also the management of time, the things I needed or wanted to do long ago... and the time to stop (smoking) bad habits...
This is what I found in one of my drawers waiting to be altered for a long long time... The papers where in my tray a long time too (yes D think I have an addiction for these BG papers ;-)) I loved them so much I just did not want to cut them up or put something over them, so this is what I did with them. Kept it clean and simple, and am quit happy with it ;-)) Thanks for visiting.

Happy Birthday... dear Daphne!
To you... I do not know you in person, in fact I do not even know you as an online person for more then two months... still you do have my interest... sometimes it is your "honest" journaling, and sometimes it is your artwork (think your art goes beyond scrapbooking) What I love in your work is your "artsy" way of looking at life... and your honesty.
This is what I made for you, I know you are a reader and a lover of art, hope you like it!
Regards,
Mirjam

I've been Tagged!
For the first time by Daphne. Now I am not such a reader (anymore) but did start a book a little while ago. I love the books of this writer since they tell a lot of chinese history in good stories.
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fourth sentence.
3. Post the text of the following 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Name of the author and book.
5. Tag three people of your own.
So here it goes, sorry in Dutch only;
Lian rende de groene zee in en liet zich in haar armen wegzinken...Haar angsten, twijfels en zorgen verdampten. De grens tussen Lian en haar omgeving vervaagde.
Author of this book is Lulu Wang name of the book is Het Lelietheater, a short description of the book you can find here sorry, it is in Dutch only.
Three other people I tag mmm, let see... Mandy, Dawn, and Tanja Have fun girls!

DH in the picture ;-))
this is a lo I entered for a contest on Scrappies a yahoogroup for scrappers I am a member of. It is the first time I made a lo about DH, and it didn't do bad, according to DH it's because of his pretty face ;-)) What ever it is, I had fun creating it, the assignment was to use paint, stamps and buttons.
TFL!
